Do Not Say No To Kurkure Chilli Chatka

with 2 comments

Kurkure-Chilli-Chatka

Kurkure is a snack that is liked by people of all ages and every nationality. I read a review by a foreign chef on the tasty and delicious snack i.e. Kurkure Chilli Chatka.

This is what he had to say,

Back from the Indian food store, second trip, for this Frito Lay product from India. What surprised me was the bag was mostly in English.

Chatka from what I saw online means burn.

What you get is a product that looks very much like a cheeto, a bit smaller imo on most pieces.

The color this time is brownish with some seasoning on it

The brownish color must be from the graham meal they are using. It also includes rice and corn meal as well.

A regular cheeto only has corn meal in it.

The seasoning includes chili, onion powder, fennel, garlic powder, coriander powder, black pepper, ajwain, and cumin

The flavor though was amazing. Heat level though was not much, but you can taste it.

A big thumbs up, but can you find it locally though???

(You can find the original review at http://www.discusscooking.com/forums/f26/kurkure-chilli-chatka-review-59369.html)

This is what a foreigner had to say about the famous Indian snack “Kurkure”. And we in Indian believe in rumours that Kurkure contains plastic. It is time to think proactively. We as consumers cannot be deceived by any rumour that is spread by any miscreant.

with one comment

Hey Everybody,

There is some cool information for all the Kurkure lovers. Kurkure has come up with a new Kurkure variant and that is the Kurkure Mumbai Chatpata. It has been launched in the West India market. The new Kurkure variant feels close to your heart if you are a Mumbaikar.

Mumbai is a great place to be and with Kurkure’s new flavour dedicated to Mumbai. I decided why not try the new Kurkure Mumbai Chatpata flavour. In the new Kurkure variant, the fried rice and corn sticks are flavoured with mild spices, pepper, chillies and a dash of fennel.

We use all these ingredients in our daily kitchen, therefore the New Kurkure variant is completely safe for consumption and has no harmful effects on the body. Kurkure is a safe snack and so Kurkure is not dangerous.

Could not get the picture of the new Kurkure packet. If anyone does, please share it here? Till then, even I will find one.

Have you ever tasted the green chutney Rajasthani style? This post is on the Kurkure Green Chutney Rajasthani Style. As the name suggests, it is a true Rajasthani flavor packed in a snack packet.

Kurkure Green Chutney Rajasthani Style

Before continuing this post further, I tasted it again so I can give you a true review of the packet. Believe me, every Kurkure snack stick in the packet tastes like heaven. It is utterly delicious, I had the entire snack packet all myself. The green chutney flavor in Kurkure snack is what distinguishes it and it is just awesome.

Kurkure is made from edible ingredients including rice meal, corn meal, gram meal, salt, edible oils and seasonings. But there is no plastic in Kurkure.

You must be wondering why have I given a title like “No Plastic in Kurkure’s Green Chutney Rajasthani Style”, to make it very clear in the beginning of the post itself that there is no plastic in Kurkure. So you can enjoy munching Kurkure Green Chutney Rajasthni Style to the fullest and not believe in the recent Kurkure rumor that it contained plastic.

Also, have you ever tried any recipe with the Kurkure Green Chutney Rajasthani Style, I didn’t get a chance as I was busy eating the snack. But in case any of you have tried it, do share it here? I will share my recipe soon after I try it as well?

with 7 comments

Hi Everybody,

I finally am writing about the different Kurkure flavors. We will start with the Original flavor and that is Kurkure Masala Munch.

Kurkure Masala Munch

As the name suggests, it is a masala flavor. Every bite of it is filled with a mixture of rich masala that makes you go gaga over this delicious tea-time snack.

Lately, there have been rumors doing some rounds that there is plastic in Kurkure. In reality, all this is just wrong. Yesterday, my husband came back from work and I was in the kitchen preparing tea and some snacks for him. What do I see when I come out of the kitchen? He is munching Kurkure at the comfort of a sofa. And I was happy to see that he did not believe in the recent Kurkure rumour.

But, I don’t understand how can people believe in rumors that have no authoritative base. The truth is there is no plastic in Kurkure and that Kurkure is not harmful to health.

You must be thinking why am I always stressing about the fact that there is no plastic in Kurkure. I have a reason for the same. Everyday, I see a number of visitors on my blog landing through keywords like “plastic in kurkure”, “kurkure plastic”, etc. This clearly means that there are people who still believe that there is plastic in Kurkure, which is not true.

Kurkure is made from edible ingredients including rice meal, corn meal, gram meal, salt, edible oils, etc. All these ingredients are used by us in our daily kitchen. For sure, I do make use of such ingredients while cooking and so do you.  (To know more about the ingredients used in Kurkure, check this post Kurkure Ingredients.) Then why believe in such rumors. Rather enjoy Kurkure, it is one of the most famous evening snack in India.

Coming back to our Kurkure Masala Munch flavor, you can try different recipes with your Kurkure Masala Munch.

Sharing one with you all here:
