Kurkure snack has been available in the Indian market, since 1999. This tedhe snack has won a million hearts both the young and the old. There are different varieties of Kurkure snack available today, right from the Kurkure Masala Munch to the new Kurkure Ingredients of India (available in 3 different Dal flavours). But, the most interesting part about Kurkure is…can you guess? This probably answers my question, ‘How Do You Eat Kurkure?’.

The most interesting part about Kurkure is that Kurkure is one snack which you can enjoy directly from the packet in which it is packed or you can use Kurkure as one of the ingredient to make another innovative snack of your own. How cool is that? I have shared some interesting Kurkure recipes right here on my blog, too. You can check it out here: Kurkure Recipes.

So I asked some of my friends, how do they eat Kurkure. And I got the following answers:
1. Kurkure with Chai (Tea)
2. Kurkure with Ketchup
3. Kurkure and Nachos
4. Kurkure and Egg Fried Rice
5. Kurkure and Dahi
6. Kurkure with Mango Slice
7. Kurkure and Green Tea

Some are really very odd combinations, but, some are interesting though. Definitely worth a try, atleast once. I personally prefer Kurkure Masala Munch with Mango Slice. It tastes just awesome, believe me. You will love the combination, if you are a mango lover.

So tell me, ‘How Do you Eat Kurkure’? As a snack or as an innovative snack of your own. Would love to hear from you!

Kurkure Masala Munch – Kurkure Tea-Time Snack

with 9 comments

Hi Everybody,

I finally am writing about the different Kurkure flavors. We will start with the Original flavor and that is Kurkure Masala Munch.

Kurkure Masala Munch

As the name suggests, it is a masala flavor. Every bite of it is filled with a mixture of rich masala that makes you go gaga over this delicious tea-time snack.

Lately, there have been rumors doing some rounds that there is plastic in Kurkure. In reality, all this is just wrong. Yesterday, my husband came back from work and I was in the kitchen preparing tea and some snacks for him. What do I see when I come out of the kitchen? He is munching Kurkure at the comfort of a sofa. And I was happy to see that he did not believe in the recent Kurkure rumour.

But, I don’t understand how can people believe in rumors that have no authoritative base. The truth is there is no plastic in Kurkure and that Kurkure is not harmful to health.

You must be thinking why am I always stressing about the fact that there is no plastic in Kurkure. I have a reason for the same. Everyday, I see a number of visitors on my blog landing through keywords like “plastic in kurkure”, “kurkure plastic”, etc. This clearly means that there are people who still believe that there is plastic in Kurkure, which is not true.

Kurkure is made from edible ingredients including rice meal, corn meal, gram meal, salt, edible oils, etc. All these ingredients are used by us in our daily kitchen. For sure, I do make use of such ingredients while cooking and so do you.  (To know more about the ingredients used in Kurkure, check this post Kurkure Ingredients.) Then why believe in such rumors. Rather enjoy Kurkure, it is one of the most famous evening snack in India.

Coming back to our Kurkure Masala Munch flavor, you can try different recipes with your Kurkure Masala Munch.
